Principles of Zion, Part I

 

The Law of Consecration

 

 

 

Through charity comes obedience to the law of consecration (JRE Link, 2017-0104 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Alternatively, through obedience to the law of consecration comes charity. These two
principles of the gospel are inseparable.

 

The ideal of the gospel begins with an outpouring of love to the poor (JRE Link, 2017-0120 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Most of the people living in the world today are the humble poor. They make do with so
little every day, and their souls are precious. Bringing joy to them should be the cause of our
lives.

 

The poor people of the earth are very sad. They await the tearful repentance of all who
are leading materialistic lives (JRE Link, 2017-0410 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

The poor don't have economic freedom. They pray for the basics of life. How great is
their joy when relief comes! (JRE Link, 2017-0329 (Wed), COM-STR2)

 

Don't be Iceland in your heart. Have tender eyes for the hungry children of the world, and
also for their hungry parents (JRE Link, 2017-0413 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Provide the means by which the poor can raise themselves (JRE Link, 2017-0223 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Self-reliance for the poor comes through education and opportunity (JRE Link, 2017-0313 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

The humble poor are worthy of their hire. They are ready and willing to help move the
world forward (JRE Link, 2017-0313 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Tithing first, then a generous fast offering, then explore the law of consecration (JRE Link, 2017-0220 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Tithing is a great principle of the gospel. The law of consecration is a far greater
principle (JRE Link, 2017-0324 (Fri), COM-STR2).

The law of consecration is more powerful than the law of tithing in the saving of souls––
our souls.

 

The law of consecration breaks open the windows of heaven––torrential rain and the
wind at our back in the gospel.

 

The law of consecration is Christian duty (JRE Link, 2017-0210 (Fri), WSE-MAIN).

 

The law of consecration—the high statute of God for all humanity.

 

The most important part of the law of consecration is that people are ready to share, and
that they are wanting to share (JRE Link, 2017-0115 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

We are the children and adults of the world. Tell us beautiful stories of wealth sharing
that we can learn from and enjoy (JRE Link, 2017-0125 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration is manifest in the hearts of children in how they share with
others and in how reverent they are in primary class (JRE Link, 2017-0115 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration is manifest in the hearts of young adults in how they obey their
parents, in the financial goals they set with the money they earn, and in their education and
career planning early in life (JRE Link, 2017-0115 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration is manifest in the hearts of adults in how they manage their
money and earthly possessions, in the way they use their free time, and in their hopes and dreams
in life (JRE Link, 2017-0115 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration––the way life in the Church was always meant to be (JRE Link, 2017-0716 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration—let this beautiful law be written into your heart.

 

Through the law of consecration, you can become born of God a second time and become
new in the gospel.

 

Be born of God, the two of you—husband and wife—in the sharing of your wealth (JRE Link, 2017-0716 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Living the law of consecration is love unfeigned (JRE Link, 2017-0916 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration brings greater righteousness, greater love, and a greater Church.
Zion will be just off on the horizon (JRE Link, 2018-0608 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Building Zion and obeying the law of consecration—a natural evolution from where the
Church is now.

 

"I had a dream," says the Lord. "The Church members were living the law of
consecration and becoming one as a people."

 

The law of consecration can overcome the great divide between rich and poor, helping to
create stronger and more unified Church congregations that set a new standard of righteousness
for the world.

 

There is a bitter divide between righteousness and wickedness, and between good and
evil in the world. Choose which side you wish to be on (JRE Link, 2017-0330 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Overcome the evil of selfishness in the planning of your personal finances (JRE Link, 2017-0330 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Overcome the evil of selfishness in the planning of your company's finances––business
owners, investors, executives, middle managers, and direct supervisors all.

 

Hire others into good jobs, giving them financial support and a career path.

 

Higher others in the love of God by sharing your wealth, knowledge, and time with them.

 

The consecration of wealth, with pure charity in your heart, is the foundation of
leadership in business and in the Church (JRE Link, 2017-0422 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

God, forgive our selfishness! Let's start learning how to help each other. The economic
pie of the world was created by God for everyone (JRE Link, 2017-0410 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Reach out and touch the poor (JRE Link, 2017-0313 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Take their hands––the outstretched hands of the needy and the desperate (JRE Link, 2018-0617 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Feed the world. Feed my sheep (JRE Link, 2016-1208 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

 

The sharing of wealth is key to the Church's future growth and success (JRE Link, 2017-1108 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

The Church itself can more fully embrace the law of consecration, as well as its
members.

 

Tens of millions––souls saved rather than dollars earned is the preferred output (JRE Link, 2017-0409 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

The law of consecration is a moral imperative, not just a theoretical exercise. The
beneficiaries in our communities, and throughout the world, are real people living real lives (JRE Link, 2018-0308 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Let's put the law of consecration to work in the world––break-the-bank miracles that all
can see (JRE Link, 2018-1215 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

A blessed Church. An honored Church. The law of consecration has no enemies, only
friends (JRE Link, 2018-1215 (Sat), COM-STR2).

A blessed Church membership worldwide that is ever-growing. Through the law of
consecration, the power of godliness is made manifest in the lives of the saints (JRE Link, 2018-1215 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Sharing our wealth with others and spreading goodwill––the sure sign of Christendom (JRE Link, 2018-1218 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

So much is expected of this people––the Latter-day Saints (JRE Link, 2019-0118 (Fri), WSE-MAIN).

 

The quest for perfection is a monumental task. The calling of the Church is to break new
ground and be the trendsetter (JRE Link, 2018-1218 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Let it be said of the restored Church of Jesus Christ in the decades to come––Never
before has there been a church more dedicated to the poor.

 

And we would want all other churches and religions of the world to then follow our
example (JRE Link, 2018-0604 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

A church of commonality. A world of commonality. The same principle applies to all (JRE Link, 2018-0621 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Just share (JRE Link, 2018-0604 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Children learn to share their toys. Adults learn to share their wealth.

 

But the wealth bestowed by God upon the Church is not toys. The souls of the world lay
in the balance (JRE Link, 2018-1225 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

The voluntary sharing of wealth in society is a manifestation of celestial beauty.

 

The righteousness of a man—whether rich, middle class, or poor—is measured not by
how much he gives to others, but by how much he withholds from the world and keeps for
himself.

 

Righteousness is more important than prosperity (JRE Link, 2017-0220 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Be grateful in your life, not greedy (JRE Link, 2017-0429 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

Striving for joy in riches is a quick way to become cold in the gospel.

 

A lust for riches will take you spiritually offline (JRE Link, 2019-0910 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Riches in life—it's what we want, but not what we need (JRE Link, 2023-0521 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

You'll have trillions of dollars when the earth is celestialized. In the meantime, love one
another and assist one another in temporal things.

 

The checkbook of life. What did we buy with our money while on earth? What checks
did we write?

 

Wealth is not created by man. It's only managed by him––an important stewardship for
which he will be held accountable in the hereafter.

 

For a rich man to reach heaven, he must follow the example of Scrooge.

 

Tribulation is the great equalizer. It brings the rich man to his knees in fervent prayer (JRE Link, 2017-0614 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Every man should look ahead towards his final day on earth and be prepared to give a full
accounting before the poor of his stewardship over the wealth he was blessed with in life.

 

To acquire wealth is not enough. You need to be a good person in life. A good person
shares some of their wealth with others (JRE Link, 2016-1106 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

To be a good person is not enough. You need to become a great person. A great person
shares most all of their wealth with others.

 

The sharing of wealth raises a rich man to the heights of humility and to the glory of
salvation. He becomes truly great.

 

The sharing of wealth is not just for the rich. The sharing of wealth is not just about
money.

 

Where does the desire to share with others come from? Where does the desire to make
others happy come from? (JRE Link, 2017-0125 (Wed), COM-STR2)

 

The sharing of wealth is the sharing of happiness. This is kindness.

 

Through kindness, money is the root of unparalleled goodness. Money doesn't need to be
a source of evil in our lives.

 

Kindness has no limitations. It is not limited by the law of the Church nor by the law of
the land (JRE Link, 2017-0125 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Kindness is contagious. It brings people together in a good cause. It can transform your
neighborhood.

 

Kindness is wonderfully exemplified in the old classic movie A Wonderful Life. Rich,
middle class, and poor all came into the house of George and Mary Bailey one by one, and of
their own accord, to pour out all they had upon the dining room table to help someone in need.
This is what the Church is all about, and what neighborhoods should be.

 

An act of kindness goes a long way towards changing the world around you (JRE Link, 2018-0227 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Kindness brings about the greatest moments of our lives (JRE Link, 2018-0628 (Thu), COM-STR2).

Please be kind. Prepare the hearts of men for the greater things of the restored gospel.

 

Be kind to others always, even when you are suffering (JRE Link, 2017-0220 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

A kind person ponders in their heart:

 

Heavenly Father, how much of my wealth should I keep for myself, and how much should
I share with others? (JRE Link, 2016-1227 (Tue), COM-STR2)

 

I can't bear to see those in need suffer. I am filled with love for them. I want to help them. (JRE Link, 2017-0125 (Wed), COM-STR2)

 

I want to be generous with others. I'll plan my life so I can help as many people as
possible. (JRE Link, 2017-0125 (Wed), COM-STR2)

 

I'll set a good example to others so they will want to share their wealth also. (JRE Link, 2017-0125 (Wed), COM-STR2)

 

 

A luxury home is not a means toward salvation.

 

A home with endless luxuries is not of me. Its elegant hallways don't lead anywhere (JRE Link, 2017-0516 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

Build your mansion in heaven, not on earth.

 

A man of God requires no earthly palace. A moderate home will do fine (JRE Link, 2017-1026 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

A more humble car, a more humble house.

 

A beautiful, but more modest home. A beautiful marriage living the law of consecration (JRE Link, 2018-0908 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

You have to give up some of your earthly possessions. The Spirit is very selective in
what you have at home and in the type of home you have (JRE Link, 2019-0108 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Downscale your lifestyle and compart to others because of your boundless love for them (JRE Link, 2019-0611 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

The law of consecration is for self-starters (JRE Link, 2019-0611 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

Which of these do you want the most—a luxurious home or revelation upon revelation?
Obedience to the law of consecration opens the heavens and brings more revelation into your
life.

 

I'm trying to provide comfort to you in a different way––spiritual blessings (rather than
temporal blessings) taking the lead to gladden your heart (JRE Link, 2018-0909 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

Carry the law of consecration with you to church in the clothes you wear and the car you
drive.

A guy with fancy clothes. A woman expertly dressed. Sacrament meeting doesn't require
a fashion statement (JRE Link, 2017-0518 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Be content with the simple pleasures of life. Don't live so extravagantly (JRE Link, 2017-0720 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Bestow the luxuries of life upon others. Rejoice in their happiness (JRE Link, 2017-0306 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Consecrate your good silverware and silver candlesticks for the poor and the needy (JRE Link, 2017-0620 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Don't serve gruel to the poor. They have enough already. Serve them what you are
having (JRE Link, 2017-0714 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

We obey the law of tithing and hope that is enough. But we don't hear the cries of the
needy (JRE Link, 2018-0201 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

The poor lift their hearts in humble prayer to God, saying these words: We live in
poverty, but the world doesn't notice us (JRE Link, 2018-0129 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

The primary residence and vacation home of many poor families of the earth are usually
combined together into a single, improvised shelter. Electricity, indoor plumbing, clean drinking
water, and adequate living space are highly-valued amenities when present (JRE Link, 2017-0724 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

The poor are often called upon to fast more than once a month––droughts, earthquakes,
great storms, wars, repressive regimes, unemployment, economic collapse.

 

Fasting gives us a glimpse of what hunger is like, but it doesn't tell us the whole story.

 

I can scarcely comprehend the great suffering of the world and all that needs to be done.
Striving to live the law of consecration is the least I can do.

 

One who is pure in heart is not blind to the ever-present needs of the poor (JRE Link, 2021-0515 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

The poverty among so many Church members, and among our non-member friends and
neighbors—both at home in America and throughout the world—has never been addressed.
Wealth, opportunity, and hope must be continuously and happily shared by the Church members
or they are not living the gospel (JRE Link, 2021-0515 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Let us bring into question the focus on tithing alone. The law of tithing was given, but the
law of consecration was never rescinded.

 

The question is how much truth is too much for the Church? Do we embrace the higher
law of God or the lower law? (JRE Link, 2021-0121 (Thu), COM-STR2)

 

"Talk to me," says the Lord. "Ask me which law I want you to obey."

 

The law of consecration—try it out. 10%, 15%, 20%, etc...

 

We have a chosen-equity problem. There is no equity among the Latter-day Saints,
among a chosen people. The solution—the law of consecration and lots of love (JRE Link, 2021-0902 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

There was no poor among them––tithing and fast offerings alone won't accomplish this.
The law of consecration is needed (JRE Link, 2019-0411 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

As members of the Church, we understand the law of consecration in principle, but not in
practice. Let's change that.

 

A new law of consecration morality to guide the Church. The law of consecration brings
fulness to the gospel.

 

"The law of consecration is a good thing for the Church," says the Spirit. "Let's see it
implemented."

 

As you read, you may find yourself pondering these principles of the law of consecration
in your mind. But instead of just pondering them, why not obey them?

 

The law of consecration is already on the books. No further commandment from heaven
on the subject is needed. It is up to you. It is in your hands.

 

You have the commandments. You have the law. The time has come for the law of
consecration to be obeyed as much as is in your power (JRE Link, 2019-1110 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

See how far the love of God can take you. That is what kindness and sharing with others
is all about (JRE Link, 2019-1110 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Love is inside of you. The law of consecration is a beautiful manifestation of that love (JRE Link, 2019-1110 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

Living the law of consecration is putting your best foot forward. It's your greatest chance
to succeed in life (JRE Link, 2018-1224 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Obedience to the law of consecration is not just something done on the margins. It is a
lifelong dedication to the sharing of wealth (JRE Link, 2019-0927 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

The sharing of wealth with those who belong to the Church. The sharing of wealth with
those who don't belong to the Church. Love for one's fellow man knows no bounds.

 

Greater wealth is always possible when you live a righteous life. Amidst this new
prosperity, ask yourself what the Savior would do if given such riches in life (JRE Link, 2020-1122 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Reason out obedience to the law of consecration with the Lord through prayer. Tell Him
what your concerns are, and raise any objections that you have (JRE Link, 2020-1110 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

As a rich man, there is still one thing that ye lack.

 

Don't walk away from the Savior feeling sorrowful. Be willing to obey Him and share all
that you have.

 

Prove the woman of faith. Her righteousness will shine forth (JRE Link, 2018-0915 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Her wealth and material possessions are consecrated to the poor. She keeps only those
things that are truly needed (JRE Link, 2018-0915 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

I'm her Savior. She should look to me all day long for guidance from above. The Spirit
will not deceive her (JRE Link, 2018-0911 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

A woman of means. A woman of kindness (JRE Link, 2018-1215 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

She is a friend to God, a friend to all people (JRE Link, 2018-1215 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

The act of giving––creating new friends and neighbors (JRE Link, 2018-0814 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

Make charity happen. Take serious being generous.

 

To help the needy, you first need a warm heart (JRE Link, 2019-0116 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Your smile is not a true smile if you are selfish in life (JRE Link, 2018-0928 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

A day of sharing with others is a day of plenty (JRE Link, 2019-0114 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

In your abundance––share (JRE Link, 2019-0730 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

You're happiest when you share.

 

Sharing is golden for both giver and receiver (JRE Link, 2018-0914 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

You don't buy the Spirit of God with money. You buy it with self-sacrifice (JRE Link, 2017-0428 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

A millionaire––someone who realizes that there are a million ways to share with others.

 

Go all in on the law of consecration. Don't just hedge your bets on materialism. A great
person sacrifices his gold for the souls of men (JRE Link, 2017-0428 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

But that's what's good about the Church. We don't have to obey the law of consecration.
We can just get by doing less than our best.

 

Agency has all power here. There is no compulsion in the Church. Celestial things are
brought to pass on earth through one's faith and good will toward men (JRE Link, 2018-1021 (Sun), COM-STR2).

A celestial temple––the body of man when sanctified. That's where the law of
consecration abides.

 

Bring your souls to me. Consecrate your lives to me. Consecrate your financial interests
and time to the building up of my kingdom on earth (JRE Link, 2017-0625 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

There is no joy in wickedness. There is no joy in a materialistic life. Without the Spirit,
our lives are empty and void (JRE Link, 2016-1227 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

The great lie of Satan––living a materialistic life leads to happiness.

 

Materialism is wickedness just below the surface (JRE Link, 2017-0906 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

An opulent lifestyle hides the truth from us (JRE Link, 2017-0906 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

My life was filled with the ordinary pursuits of the rich. I didn’t do much for others, just
myself.

 

She found cocaine in her life of gain. Money, lots of free time, ease of access through
friends... drug abuse.

 

Selfishness does not lead to the celestial kingdom––those who were good people in life
but spent the wad on things they shouldn't have (JRE Link, 2018-1121 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Our luxuries are on display for everyone to see. Isn't that what life is all about? (JRE Link, 2018-1029 (Mon), COM-STR2)

 

Our home is larger and much nicer than those of our friends and neighbors. That's what
we've been working for all these years (JRE Link, 2018-1029 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

We fully understand that wealth can be a corrupting influence on our souls, but we will
live a luxurious lifestyle anyway without regard to the spiritual dangers to our family (JRE Link, 2018-1123 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Our wealth is already spoken for. We find self-fulfillment in our current lifestyle. We
share with others only when it suits us (JRE Link, 2018-0704 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

We had many diamonds, but it was paste that was written in our hearts.

 

The Spirit has been a fleeting thing with all of these luxuries and fancy cars filling our
lives.

 

The luxury of Boardwalk and Park Place––that's all our eyes see.

 

Yuppies choose poorly (JRE Link, 2019-0507 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

A yuppie lifestyle doesn't embody the essence of the gospel... not in the least (JRE Link, 2019-0507 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

I'm a materialist. I believe in expensive cars and expensive tastes (JRE Link, 2019-0530 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

I'm hooked on wealth. I'm hooked on luxuries. Worldliness has taken over my soul.

 

A money couple—a marriage based on money alone (JRE Link, 2022-1210 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

We live a luxury home, luxury cars life.

 

A worldly woman is married to gold (JRE Link, 2019-0607 (Fri), WSE-MAIN).

 

The rich man says to all the world: You've never seen such a grand house as mine.

 

The Lord responds: Abraham I know. Lazarus I know. But who are you? (JRE Link, 2017-0906 (Wed), COM-STR2)

 

A billionaire's house has room for many, but only a few people live there. It is filled with
emptiness.

 

A disinfectant/cleaner is needed to get rid of the stain of selfishness among the wealthy.

 

The unrepentant rich—they obtained their dollars, but not their salvation (JRE Link, 2022-0704 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

They felt the ease of a luxurious lifestyle, but not the responsibility to the poor (JRE Link, 2018-0813 (Mon), WSE-MAIN).

 

Open up your ease to the poor.

 

You are glutting on your riches. There is no good in you at all right now. Your state
before God is awful (JRE Link, 2020-0404 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Rich man, I don’t know how you are going to become good in life and earn salvation
unless you learn to truly share (JRE Link, 2020-0404 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

It's your wisdom at play here when you live a worldly life, not mine.

 

You are one with the world. That's where your desires are (JRE Link, 2018-1205 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

Too much money. Too little righteousness.

 

Come back. Return to righteousness. Redeem your soul from a materialistic life (JRE Link, 2019-0408 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Righteousness and a worldly life don't go together. As goes your righteousness, so goes
you (JRE Link, 2017-0821 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Worldliness––the means by which we lay aside righteousness in our lives altogether (JRE Link, 2019-0505 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Worldliness––the treasure that fills our eyes and steals our hearts (JRE Link, 2019-0910 (Tue), COM-STR2).

Worldliness leaves your soul in an unsatisfied state (JRE Link, 2019-0507 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

Worldliness now will lead to diminished opportunities for our family in the eternal world (JRE Link, 2017-0930 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

A wealthy family that is unwilling to share has no part of me and my gospel (JRE Link, 2018-0720 (Fri), WSE-MAIN).

 

Lottery winner victims. Everything goes right prosperity-wise, but a worldly life ensues (JRE Link, 2023-0510 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Was everyone true to the gospel or was everyone lost?—a worldly family asks
themselves after the years pass and they reach the end of their lives.

 

We are moving in the fast lane, away from God (JRE Link, 2018-0906 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Joy in a worldly life comes and goes; and then... it is gone forever.

 

Abandon your worldly life and immerse yourself in the gospel (JRE Link, 2018-0628 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

You've got nothing to lose. A worldly life is nothing.

 

You don't need worldly things to be happy. They are not becoming on you.

 

I'm not that girl—a worldly woman. I'm this girl—a righteous woman of God (JRE Link, 2020-0306 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration requires that you not worry so much about your public image (JRE Link, 2017-0609 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Let me tell you a story. A woman filled with pride looks in the mirror and then heads out
in life. Vanity is her badge of honor. She is blind to spiritual things (JRE Link, 2017-0723 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Selfishness is the focus of my life. The world revolves around me––my needs and my

When we talk about a greater sharing of your wealth with others through the law of
consecration, we're talking about significant blessings from heaven to quickly come to you and a
badly-needed purification of your soul (JRE Link, 2021-0617 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

It's about to rain. Blessings are in store. The law of consecration is like that (JRE Link, 2021-0909 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

The law of consecration is a preemptive strike upon evil in your life... preparing you for
the snare of the adversary that is lying in wait just around the corner—worldliness, pride, vanity,
lust, apathy, murmuring, lost of faith, apostasy, etc.

The law of consecration does not limit your growth or free expression in matters of
personal finances and property; rather, it is a power center, a means of putting your charity and
faith in Christ into action in the lives of all the people around you.

 

To all the wealthy of the Church: It's time for you to start sharing your wealth on a grand
scale. The Lord has great things planned for you. You don't need to be perfect in your obedience
to the law of consecration, but get moving on it and make things happen (JRE Link, 2021-1020 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Plenty and plenty—There is plenty of money among the members of the Church, and
therefore, plenty of opportunities for law of consecration envelopes to be sent out by members
directly to those in need. Such envelopes might contain glad tidings of financial assistance or
employment opportunities, whatever is possible given the situation. There will be great joy and a
sense of relief felt by those receiving help in this manner, increasing their faith in both God and

You already know that these things are true, so obey the promptings of the Spirit.

 

Go to the temple and learn what it means to live a consecrated life.

 

Bring the image of the Son of God into your heart and think about what perfection in the
gospel really entails.

 

Perfection requires the law of consecration as well as charity (JRE Link, 2018-0412 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Obedence to the law of consecration will quicken your desires as an active and faithful
Latter-day Saint and make you more holy.
