Apostles and Prophets, General Conference, Being a Man of God

 

 

 

The members of the Church bring the blessings of eternal glory upon themselves through
righteousness. The prophets and apostles of the Church are there to assist them (JRE Link, 2017-0409 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

The members of the Church have a great calling––to glorify God in the eyes of the world.
The prophets and apostles of the Church are there to assist them (JRE Link, 2017-0409 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Feel the power of the Lord's leadership in the words that He speaks through His prophets
and apostles. To feel His leadership in our midst is to hear His voice.

 

Love the leaders of the Church. They serve at the pleasure of the Lord (JRE Link, 2017-0530 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Apostles believe... firmly believe.

 

Apostles bring souls to God (JRE Link, 2017-0719 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

Apostles ponder the mysteries of heaven (JRE Link, 2018-0303 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

Apostles feel the power of God within them as they go about their special work every
day (JRE Link, 2018-0303 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Apostles speak words that are extraordinary, having absolute knowledge of God (JRE Link, 2017-1010 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

The height of public speaking—the words spoken by apostles and prophets.

 

The highest principles of civilization—the restored gospel.

 

China roses—go apostling and bring to life the untapped beauty and power of the
restored gospel in the world.

 

The power of the spoken word. The power of the written word. An apostle of God is

Paul the Apostle will know what to do... people look to apostles for guidance and
outstanding abilities (JRE Link, 2020-1108 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Paul commanded the town whenever he entered (JRE Link, 2017-0821 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

A house like Paul's, going among the nations. A house among the nations.

 

You have Paul's eyes and Paul's life.

 

Be Paul. Be an apostle of great impact (JRE Link, 2020-0525 (Mon), WSE-MAIN).

 

Be like Paul. See like Paul.

 

Apostles were called of God anciently. Apostles are called of God nowadays. The
selection process is entirely the same... done by the Lord Himself (JRE Link, 2018-1212 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

A newly called apostle needs refinement. Yes, but that's what the Spirit is for (JRE Link, 2018-1102 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

A genuine apostle—yes, you are. The words you speak come from me. I am the Lord.

 

You are my apostle. You are my witness.

You have a sense of urgency in the work of the restored gospel.

You're like Stephen––chosen (JRE Link, 2019-0130 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

Your faith to move mountains is exceptional. The members of the Church for generations

You evoke thoughts among the people that the power of God is greatly active in the
world (JRE Link, 2019-0103 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

 

Your mind is a canon of holy writ (JRE Link, 2019-1020 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

Your knowledge is of God, not of men. You carry the Spirit with you everywhere you go.

 

Revelation is your key leadership tool. It helps you to know what to do every day, and
how to lead the Church forward (JRE Link, 2018-0810 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Trials won't dissuade you from completing your important mission in life (JRE Link, 2019-1109 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

You'll make many cry. The truth is not just powerful, it is also very sweet (JRE Link, 2018-0620 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

You'll provide other Christian churches a testimony that they can't deny (JRE Link, 2018-1020 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

You'll unravel the opposition to the Church. They won't know what hit them (JRE Link, 2017-0516 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

You'll start to see all that is unknown to you. The gaps in your knowledge will be filled
from above.

 

An apostle writes epistles.

 

What are you doing, Paul, in prison? I'm just sitting here writing (JRE Link, 2021-1127 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

An apostle—he has the joy of receiving revelation that can help lead all of mankind to
salvation... but then also the horror of seeing in vision the suffering of a wicked world that will
not repent.

 

Did you really say to God, "Go away from me! I don't want to hear and see any more of
this horrible vision?"

 

How long did I make apostles and prophets sulk in past generations? There is no
difference here with you.

 

Prepare yourself for more. The suffering of the world will pass through your ears.

Suffering in vision will help you to understand reality. There is no other way.

 

An apostle shakes and shudders as the depths of hell are revealed to him.

 

A vision of hell will pulverize him; but he will tearfully give thanks to God that at least
his view of things is temporary and will soon end.

 

Crying uncontrollably and screaming at the top of your lungs... or in other words,
weeping and wailing—hell is like that.

 

A vision of the damned encompasses both earth and hell. So many men and women walk
the earth doing evil as though they had no eternal soul to worry about.

 

As you write the things of God for the world, you'll rejoice in the great gifts of the Spirit
that are bestowed upon you. The Lord will be closely supervising you hour by hour.

 

Movement toward a more celestial earth. Control the keyboard with beautiful writing.

 

The Lord speaks to an apostle saying—You don't have to be so compelling in your
writing. You can do regular paragraphs every once in a while (JRE Link, 2019-0412 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

It's okay for revelation to have incorrect grammar or incorrect spelling. It is still
revelation nonetheless (JRE Link, 2018-0529 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

The misspelling of words in a revelation doesn't worry the Lord. Proofreaders have their
place (JRE Link, 2020-1122 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation by degrees––draft1, draft2, draft3. The Spirit manages the writing process
with you over days, weeks, months, or even years (JRE Link, 2019-0611 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation is also to organize, edit, and present the words of God in optimized form,
following the examples of the brother of Jared, Ether, Moses, Isaiah, Nephi, John, Paul,
Mormon, Moroni, and Joseph Smith (JRE Link, 2019-0611 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Church policy and the Holy Ghost work together very closely. Sometimes, it's a
balancing act of delicate issues (JRE Link, 2019-1013 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Be apostle-wise. Keep razor-sharp like Talmage (JRE Link, 2019-0905 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Be a Talmage. Be able to explain everything well (JRE Link, 2018-0609 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

The Savior wants to reveal more of His gospel. You will see greater words than these.

 

Church policies yield to revelation. The Holy Ghost has the final word on truth.

 

Revelation is dead-on accurate, hitting dead center on the truth (JRE Link, 2019-0611 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

Let's open the door wide for more revelation to come. The Lord is willing if there is
sufficient faith to receive it.

 

The Lord says—I have so many improvements to the Church that need to be done. The
amount of revelation still to be bestowed upon the Church is staggering (JRE Link, 2018-0617 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Changing the world takes time. Listen up for instructions (JRE Link, 2018-0901 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

An apostle is living proof of the existence of God. He stands before the world and bears a
powerful testimony for the ages. Time stops when he speaks.

 

An apostle of God does not fear death (JRE Link, 2016-1223 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

John... why was he beloved? Move closer to me and you'll find out.

 

John the apostle walks the earth, doing things for WE ARE.

 

Leader Peter, like a rock—the rock of revelation and priesthood power. The great apostle
Peter was a man of God for time and eternity, preordained to lead the early Church of Jesus
Christ.

 

As an apostle, be a young man of God in life, like Nephi (son of Lehi), and like Joseph
Smith, full of energy and passion in the gospel (JRE Link, 2019-0114 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Be young in who you are. Don't have that old-age approach to life any more.

 

Be like Nephi (son of Nephi), receiving many revelations daily. Kneel at the feet of the
Savior in great humility (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

The Spirit comes to you every night without any preplanning. It just happens (JRE Link, 2017-0202 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Once every blue moon revelation comes with this consistency (JRE Link, 2019-0317 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

Prophecies are spoken. Prophecies are fulfilled. An apostle speaks by the spirit of
prophecy like it's commonplace (JRE Link, 2019-0805 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

When an apostle speaks, the world is strangely silent, not knowing how to respond to
truth (JRE Link, 2017-0824 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

The role of a prophet is to change the course of history––to call the people of the world to
repentance (JRE Link, 2017-0827 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Gather around the lantern and smile, the lantern of a prophet and seer (JRE Link, 2018-1028 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

I created thee––a prophet. An angelic-like ministry among the Saints (JRE Link, 2017-1221 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Thou hast many great and powerful words to speak to all the earth. The spirit of prophecy
is within thee (JRE Link, 2017-1121 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

My eyes are opened. I can see the future (JRE Link, 2018-0301 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

Grab hold of the future and hold it in your hands (JRE Link, 2018-0604 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

You're a living prophet. You are chosen by God because of your faithfulness, your
choices in life, and your love for others (JRE Link, 2018-0201 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

 

You're built to lead and to do wonders.

 

I give you to the world as an example of righteousness (JRE Link, 2019-0928 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

I didn't need to push you. You sought after charity, obedience to the law of consecration,
and the building of Zion by the hearing of the word only.

 

You hear the voice of my Spirit (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Your petition to God is precisely the right one (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

You have much in common with the prophets of old. Their legacy is your legacy (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

We know you. We love you. Your name is spoken in heaven (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Love of God is your middle name (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

You've planned out your life with the gospel in mind (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

You speak the words of the Holy Ghost verbatim (JRE Link, 2018-0906 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

You bring forth great signs, wonders, and miracles before the world.

 

Revelation flows easily from a prophet (JRE Link, 2018-0303 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

Revelation in great detail. Revelation that is very precise (JRE Link, 2018-0409 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation absolutely. Revelation undeniably (JRE Link, 2018-0602 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

As a prophet, be one with me (JRE Link, 2018-0120 (Sat), WSE-MAIN).

 

It's quite a miracle for a prophet to speak to God on behalf of the world. That is your
great priviledge in the office you hold as President of the Church.

The Spirit says to a prophet—I'll help you think. I'll guide the revelation process. I'll take
you and the members of the Church to places you have never dreamed before.

 

If a prophet speaks the words of God by the power of the Holy Ghost, will the world
listen? Will the world obey? (JRE Link, 2017-1001 (Sun), COM-STR2)

 

Forewarn the people of the earth of the great calamities to come if they don't repent (JRE Link, 2022-0314 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

The prophet has a vision––a world that is changing after an onslaught of high principles (JRE Link, 2018-0623 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

The world wants happiness. The prophet knows where to find it.

 

Articulate the words that will change nations (JRE Link, 2019-0317 (Sun), WSE-MAIN).

 

Open the eyes of the people through greater and greater miracles (JRE Link, 2019-0426 (Fri), WSE-MAIN).

 

Amaze the people like Elijah would do (JRE Link, 2019-0319 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

To assist in the salvation of many souls––that is your calling (JRE Link, 2019-0223 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

You have everything––direction from above and authority.

 

"I AM" is spoken to you. You'll hear it and feel it many times, perhaps even daily.

 

You’re Moses in many ways. Nothing is hidden from you. Look with your spiritual eyes
and you can discern all of humanity.

 

You're an anchor that the Church members are relying upon.

 

Angel studies—you will be able to see in modern times what prophets of old have seen (JRE Link, 2021-0126 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

Faith in God has incredible reach (JRE Link, 2021-0126 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

You have much to learn of God, but you have the faith necessary to see all of these
glorious things. And then you will know more about Him... a lot more (JRE Link, 2021-0126 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

The Lord speaks to you, saying—Walk through this vision of the kingdom of God step by
step with me. The heavens will become an open book to you (JRE Link, 2019-0108 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Many will fear your powerful testimony because it more fully establishes the truthfulness
of the Church (JRE Link, 2018-0620 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has no equal on earth. It stands alone. It
stands above all. A church for all mankind (JRE Link, 2017-0810 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

In a showdown on revelation, the restored Church of Jesus Christ is the quick draw (JRE Link, 2017-0819 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation in the Church is accelerating, rolling down the mountain at a rapid pace (JRE Link, 2019-0118 (Fri), WSE-MAIN).

 

Revelation! Revelation! Revelation in the Church!––I AM.

 

I have so much to give you. Prepare for the Spirit (JRE Link, 2021-0812 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

 

I can give you new revelation, chapter and verse.

 

I'll show you a new branch of knowledge (JRE Link, 2017-0928 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

Revelation from heaven is plentiful. There will always be more (JRE Link, 2018-0722 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation brings refreshing clarity to questions of Church doctrine and Church history.

 

Revelation on a grand scale brings about a lot of historical firsts.

 

Revelation of God is frontpage stuff. An awestruck world will be watching (JRE Link, 2019-0722 (Mon), WSE-MAIN).

 

You need direct revelation, not just the scriptures of past centuries (JRE Link, 2017-0911 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Look high into the heavens and see beyond that which has heretofore been revealed to
man. The standard works of the Church are not finite (JRE Link, 2018-0524 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

 

Revelation is not forced. It just comes naturally and easily. Remember, it is a gift (JRE Link, 2018-0604 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Clear your mind of all the clutter. The stupor of thought will go away and your mind will
be refreshed with revelation (JRE Link, 2018-0705 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

The great seeings of a seer are never-ending (JRE Link, 2018-0617 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Be a temple seer. Your eyes will look great things.

 

Learn to use this great and wonderful gift. Speak new truths using the vocabulary of the
Spirit (JRE Link, 2018-1020 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

All things are possible in writing. The Spirit can make words sing (JRE Link, 2018-1112 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

Writing is a series of choices about what to say and how to say it. Let the Holy Ghost
help you choose and the words will flow effortlessly (JRE Link, 2021-0523 (Sun), COM-STR2)

 

Keep writing. Even more glorious words of the Spirit are waiting for you just around the
corner (JRE Link, 2019-0108 (Tue), COM-STR2).

This is really amazing! The words of the Master are sparkling before our eyes (JRE Link, 2018-0928 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Thousands and thousands of new words of God. The Holy Ghost has been very busy
here!

 

These words of inspiration, these words of revelation, are ones for the ages. The Savior is
behind thee (JRE Link, 2018-1212 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

A prophet, with pen in hand, is always ready to write. Revelation comes upon him
suddenly (JRE Link, 2019-0315 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

A prophet says: It's not my words, but the Lord's words that I want to write. I will listen
carefully for the Spirit. I am waiting... waiting... waiting... augh! here He comes. The Holy Ghost
never disappoints!

 

Lord, please slow down a little bit. I can't write that fast (JRE Link, 2018-0609 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

The miracle of bedside revelation! I scarcely put down my pen and the Spirit speaks to
me again (JRE Link, 2019-0212 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

When the ink runs out of your pen because of so much revelation received at night, that's
a really good sign (JRE Link, 2021-0810 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Zero light. Zero write. Have everything prepared at bedside—a notepad, a pen with
plenty of ink, and a light that you can easily turn off and on. Show the Spirit that you are ready (JRE Link, 2022-0206 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

"I share a pen with you," says the Spirit.

 

"All set?" asks the Spirit. "Let's write the things of God together through revelation, from
me to you."

 

Press harder with the pen as you write down revelation at bedside. It will deepen the
imprint on your soul so that nothing is lost (JRE Link, 2019-0611 (Tue), WSE-MAIN).

 

The notes from the Spirit's dictation, written at bedside, are glorious (JRE Link, 2019-0214 (Thu), COM-STR2).

 

In the bed of night, revelation comes.

 

Revelation every night, as if there is a standing appointment with Lord (JRE Link, 2021-1010 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation last night. Revelation tonight. Revelation tomorrow night.

 

The night is only half over, but still there is much more revelation to come (JRE Link, 2018-0928 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Be ready to receive all that God has to reveal, even if it takes all night (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

"I'm tired," says the Lord—in a humorous way—after an exciting night filled with
revelation.

 

"If we keep talking like this, one day we may appear to you," say the Father and Son
through the Holy Ghost.

 

Sleep will flee from your eyes as revelation is bestowed upon you (JRE Link, 2018-0824 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

An apostle lays in bed at night, saying these words within his heart, "I'm certainly tired,
and I really need the sleep, but I worry that I might miss too much. Which do I want more? A
good night's sleep or a glorious night filled with revelation?"

 

Revelation both day and night (JRE Link, 2018-0823 (Thu), WSE-MAIN).

 

Receiving and recording revelation—around the clock work performed diligently every
day by a Church leader.

 

That wonderful revelation tiredness in the morning! It makes it difficult to go about your
daily chores (JRE Link, 2018-0609 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Revelation tiredness from the night before leads to revelation naps during the day. So,
enjoy your naps. They can bring new revelation as well (JRE Link, 2020-0728 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Nap time. Mid-afternoon revelation time of the Spirit (JRE Link, 2021-0503 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

The Spirit whispers to an apostle as he lays down to rest on a quiet afternoon—I've
caught you napping!

Shh... be still. Inspired words are being spoken to you (JRE Link, 2019-0925 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

You're receiving light and truth from heaven (JRE Link, 2019-0925 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

I'm the Son, in likeness of the Father (JRE Link, 2019-0925 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

In His authority (JRE Link, 2019-0925 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

The Spirit will be with you as you travel. Humbly pray every night in your hotel room.
Every morning there will be a warm and inviting wakeup call (JRE Link, 2018-0928 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

The Father is beaming in heaven as He sees your good works throughout the world.

 

Ride together safely as a family in the pioneer wagon of revelation. General conference is
the wagon train (JRE Link, 2017-0807 (Mon), COM-STR2).

The spirit of prophecy is in play as conference messages are spoken, helping the
members of the Church envision their eternal lives to come and the everlasting joy that waits
them.

 

There is a sense of happiness at conference time. There is joy in the air.

 

The attendees at general conference have a great calling. They need to stand up and sing
their hearts out when "We Thank Thee O God for a Prophet" is sung.

 

The Spirit speaks to our hearts, and warms our hearts, as we listen to the conference
messages (JRE Link, 2019-0118 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

Feast upon the talks of general conference, past and present. Listen to one every day on
the Church website. Become a connoisseur of the gospel (JRE Link, 2017-0612 (Mon), COM-STR2).

 

General conference talks are so beautiful and inspiring! I could listen to them all day
long!

 

Take time to treasure each and every conference talk. Close your eyes and listen.

 

The words spoken by general authorities in conference––powerful reasoning and great
wisdom on the one hand, the testimony of the Holy Ghost on the other (JRE Link, 2018-1125 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

General authorities teach and instruct, rather than debate and argue (JRE Link, 2017-0526 (Fri), COM-STR2).

 

A championship team—the General Authorities of the Church (JRE Link, 2019-1214 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

Once you step into an Institute of Religion building, you will never want to leave. The
classrooms are a refuge from the outside world. The subjects being taught are fascinating, and
the instructors are blessed with a special endowment of the Spirit. The same is true for seminary
classrooms and courses. Religious education is a must for every Latter-day Saint.

 

Greater happiness will come to you through a greater knowledge of the gospel (JRE Link, 2017-1008 (Sun), COM-STR2).

 

Lord, help make me rich in gospel knowledge (JRE Link, 2017-1115 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Being called to serve the Lord is much more than the laying on of hands. A man of God
is the product of many good daily habits (JRE Link, 2017-0304 (Sat), COM-STR2).

 

You were born to greatness. A man of God has vast potential (JRE Link, 2019-0212 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

A man of God ponders in his mind the phrase "With God, all things are possible." The
Holy Ghost, listening to his thoughts, whispers to him in response, "True."

 

A man of God says in his prayers—I am truly motivated and ready to go. I want to
participate in this great work and bring many souls to Thee.

 

A man of God doesn’t fear growing old. He has too many other important things to worry
about in his life, most especially, the temporal well-being and eternal salvation of all the
inhabitants of the earth.

 

On your feet! Be a man of God (JRE Link, 2018-1205 (Wed), WSE-MAIN).

 

Be physically fit and fit to serve (JRE Link, 2017-1018 (Wed), COM-STR2).

 

Be a priestly man, a priest of the Most High (JRE Link, 2017-0530 (Tue), COM-STR2).

 

Be leader-strong, a leader magnificent (JRE Link, 2017-0306 (Mon), COM-STR2).
